3. Corsair Vengeance LPX 2x8GB 2,666MHz: Best value RAM. Price: £58 for 16GB | Buy now from Amazon Yes, it’s the Vengeance LPX again, but it’s worth repeating oneself for. When an 8GB set
I upgraded my old 2x8GB 2666Mhz ram set to 2x16GB 3200Mhz before, it gives me like 1% increase in FPS only, and that's due to the slight difference of ram speed only not related to the ram capacity. The only difference is for video editing program or installing cracked games, since those utilize crap ton of RAM.
The bottom line is that memory can impact the framerates you get in a given game. However, the amount it can impact it can vary from game-to-game and scenario-to-scenario. As a general rule of thumb, 2666MHz is probably the best starting point for DDR4 memory as it typically doesn’t cost much more than 2133MHz memory.
This model support 2666 and 3200 mhz. There are total two slots availiable. In one slot i have installed samsung 3200mhz ram and in another slot it is 2666mhz ram. Now in task manager it shows 2666mhz speed. But when i check CPU Z application then it shows current DRAM speed is usable is only upto 665.5 aprox.
The Infinity Fabric can be set higher than 1,800MHz. Some CPUs can hit up to around 1,900MHz with the IF clock, but that’s still ‘only’ DDR4-3800. Very fast memory doesn’t make much sense
. The 1600af is zen+ architecture, just like all of the 2000 series CPUs. They all benefit and (should) support 3200 mhz ram, your motherboard should support it as well. Reason it improves performance: it is said that the lanes connecting the little chiplets inside the CPU are synchronized with the ram speed, and faster ram means they can speak
Good average bench The Corsair Vengeance LPX DDR4 2666 C16 2x8GB averaged 23.3% lower than the peak scores attained by the group leaders. This is an excellent result which ranks the Corsair Vengeance LPX DDR4 2666 C16 2x8GB near the top of the comparison list. Strengths
not enough to matter. but bigger is almost always better. Yes, but just to clarify, sometimes low end 1866 MHz memory runs at slower timings to reach the 1866MHz speed. This would effectively be slower for daily use than 1600MHz RAM that had tighter (more respsonsive) timings. Again, probably not enough to notice, but something to think about.
